We have a built a state-of-the-art online vineyard suitability assessment tool called VineMAP for viticulture consultancy, Vinescapes Limited.

The tool brings together a variety of mapping data from Environment Agency, Natural England and Historic England and also commercial weather and soils data as inputs to a multi-criteria assessment.

Users simply have to enter their area of interest, choose from a range of reports (including terrain suitability, climate suitability, frost risk etc). and the tool automatically runs an analysis to determine whether the site is suitable for a vineyard. Expert interepretation of the results is also provided within the report including suggestions for grape varieties.

The report is generated as a multipage PDF file and despite the huge amount of processing and analysis is usually ready as the customer leaves the check out.

If you have a time consuming mapping workflow, please get in touch to find out more about how we can automate your mapping and reporting.
